Its no surprise that Spains El Bombero is consistently a Top 10 favourite. For over 20 years, fans have been drawn to its winning combination of velvety smoothness and intense richness, thanks to very old vines. Bundles of spicy raspberry fruit. For lovers of big, smooth reds, El Bombero is a top choice. Its from Cariena, a hot arid region of Spain where sun-loving grapes like Garnacha (same as Chteauneufs Grenache) achieve amazing ripeness. There are no fancy chteaux in this part of Spain, but that doesnt stop this area boasting some of the worlds best-value reds. The old vines and lack of rain here means there are fewer bunches on the vines, the grapes are smaller too, which only intensifies the flavour exemplified in El Bombero. Crafted by award-winning Javier Domeque, El Bombero brims with spicy black fruit flavours. Delicious on its own and a tasty choice for all manner of dishes, El Bombero is always impressive. Even more so when presented in this 1.5 litre magnum.
