Compass Box The Artist Blend is the accessible, everyday expression from one of the most innovative and boundary-pushing independent blenders in the Scotch whisky world. Founded in 2000 by American-born John Glaser a former marketing director at Johnnie Walker who left to pursue a more artisanal, transparent approach to blending Compass Box has consistently challenged conventions, championed full ingredient disclosure, and produced blended Scotch whiskies of exceptional quality and creativity.

The Artist Blend is Compass Box’s entry point and a perfect introduction to the house style: approachable, vibrant, and genuinely delicious. A blend of Highland single malts and lighter grain whiskies, it is crafted to be the ideal everyday Scotch versatile enough to enjoy neat, on the rocks, or as the foundation of an elevated whisky cocktail. The nose is fresh and inviting vanilla cream, ripe pear, and a gentle floral sweetness, with a soft cereal note and a hint of toasted oak. On the palate, it’s light-bodied and lively: green apple, honey, soft toffee, and a gentle warming spice build with a clean, refreshing character that makes it endlessly drinkable. The finish is clean, medium-length, and gently sweet vanilla, citrus, and a soft warmth fading gracefully.

Artisanal blending made accessible The Artist Blend is Compass Box’s invitation to experience what thoughtful, transparent Scotch whisky can be.
