The 2021 Chassagne villages bottling is simply stunning this year. The bouquet is precise and vibrant, jumping from the glass in a blaze of lemon, pear, a touch of fresh pineapple, a complex base of chalky soil tones, white lilies, lemon zest and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is precise, full-bodied and vibrant, with excellent depth at the core, a lovely girdle of acidity, superb mineral drive and a long, complex and seamlessly balanced finish. Great juice and premier cru quality without a doubt! (Drink between 2026-2050)(11/2022)

Note: from 3 separate lieux-dits A more complex if moderately similar nose offers more in the way of white orchard fruit aromas that are trimmed in subtle wood nuances. There is fine mid-palate density to the delicious and appealingly intense medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by bright acidity on the bitter lemon-inflected finale that displays excellent length for its level. This too could use better depth, but more should reasonably develop. Lovely. *Outstanding*(6/2023)

Clean mid lemon, assembled on its fine lees but not yet fined. A clean, even and balanced chardonnay nose which develops a richer white fruit with a greengage edge further back on the palate. Some salinity helps provide the tension. Drink from 2024-2028.(10/2022)
