The 2022 ‘Red Wine’ shows aromatic depth and precision, with layered notes of cherry,
black plum, and ripe cranberry. The fruit is lifted by accents of graphite, bay laurel, and
fresh tobacco, adding savory complexity. The palate is firm and focused, supported by
fine-grained tannins and bright acidity, leading to a long, saline finish.
The 2022 ‘Red Wine’ is a Cabernet Sauvignondriven blend, complemented by
Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Harvested by varietal between late August and midSeptember, the fruit was hand-sorted and destemmed before fermenting on skins for
an average of 19 days. The wine underwent 30 months of aging: 20 months in neutral
large-format vessels including foudre and 500L puncheons, followed by 10 months in
concrete and neutral 225L barrels.
