A rare and captivating expression from Islay’s legendary Lagavulin Distillery, Sweet Peat 11 Year is a masterful exploration of the distillery’s signature peated character. This exceptional Scotch whisky challenges expectations by revealing the sweeter, more nuanced side of Lagavulin’s iconic smoke.

Aged for 11 years in carefully selected casks, Sweet Peat showcases the distillery’s ability to balance intense peat smoke with layers of honeyed sweetness, dried fruit, and coastal minerality. The result is a whisky that honors Lagavulin’s storied heritage while offering a fresh perspective on Islay single malt.

Each sip reveals the complexity that comes from patient maturation on the shores of Islay. The maritime influence brings briny sea spray and iodine notes, while the extended aging develops rich toffee, vanilla, and dark fruit flavors that dance alongside the signature peat smoke. This is Lagavulin at its most elegant and approachable.

Tasting Notes: Sweet peat smoke, honeyed malt, dried apricot, vanilla toffee, sea salt, dark chocolate, with a long, warming finish of gentle smoke and coastal minerality

Perfect For: Sipping neat, with a splash of water to open up the flavors, or savoring alongside dark chocolate or aged cheese
