A little untraditional, Mac Forbes chose not to provide tasting notes for any of their wines. Their wines capture vineyard life and vitality, and as such they are constantly evolving. The belief of Mac Forbes is the only tasting notes that matter are yours. It is recommended to decant this wine prior to serving at between 14 & 16C. Reviews & AccoladesIt was a fine year in the Yarra Valley for Pinot Noir, by all accounts. Its bony, sappy and spicy, has a distinct mulchy thing going on, strawberry the main fruit. Light in body, again spicy and mulchy, a touch smoky, with light tannin, nervy acidity and a gentle dusting of tannin. Finish tends towards sour and sappy, but theres an energy and vibrancy here that, I think, will show well with a few more years in bottle.92 Points – 2017 Vintage – Gary Walsh, The Wine Front, July 2018, Drink: 2021 – 2029+ 5 Star James Halliday Winery
