Pech Merle is an award-winning winery started by a husband and wife team after being inspired by a trip to the prehistoric caves of Pech Merle in France. It is a boutique, family-run winery dedicated to cultivating and crafting the best of Sonoma County. Their focus is on single vineyard designate wines produced in limited quantities. The wines are made by years-long Beringer Winery cellar director, John Pepe. John learned a thing or two about making great wines while at behemoth Beringer, at Kendall-Jackson and at Lyeth too. Pech Merle Winery produces around 3000 cases per year – and has won over 140 medals. The 2023 Pech Merle Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc captures the essence of Sonoma County with its zesty citrus, vibrant fruit, fresh tropical melon, and crisp acidity.
