The batch is then rounded out with a layer of smokiness derived from the new bourbon barrel aging.

Tasting Notes For 1000 Stories Bourbon Barrel-Aged Zinfandel 2023

With tasting notes of juicy red fruits like strawberry, raspberry, and black cherry, this wine is perfect for those who love a fruit-forward style.

But what sets this Zinfandel apart is its unique aging process in bourbon barrels, which gives it an added layer of complexity and richness. As a final winemaking step, 1000 stories zinfandel 2023 was matured in used bourbon barrels some up to 13 years old chosen from Americas most celebrated distilleries. Over time, barrel-ageing polished the wine and lent further depth and nuance to its bold character. A powerful new batch of old barrels ranging from 8-12 years were incorporated into the mix resulting in 24% Old Bourbon and 3% New Bourbon in this batch.
