• Vinous: The 2014 Proprietary Red comes across as a blend of 2012 and 2013. It has some of the brightness of the 2013 but also the slightly more mid-weight structure of the 2012. Producer Information

Nine Suns. The Chang Family purchased this property in 2010 from developer and majority owner of the San Diego Chargers football team, Alex Spanos. The family sold the winery to Realm Cellars in 2022 (see our notes at the bottom of this review). The Changs three children (Aimee, Jason and Chris) have all been instrumental in the development of the property, winery and brand. Jason oversees the winery; In 2010 Jason knew very little about wine at the time he was working for PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York doing Management Consulting work.
