Wine Spectator,95 Points

“Vibrant and expressive, with compelling cherry and raspberry flavors laced with spice, cinnamon and orange zest. Builds richness and texture toward refined, briary tannins.”

Vinous,94 Points

“The 2019 Zinfandel Rossi Ranch is a powerhouse. Creamy, ample and explosive, the Rossi shows the opulence of a warm site in a warm year. Red fruit, sweet pipe tobacco, dried herbs and mint all build effortlessly in the glass. In 2019, the Rossi Zinfandel is not exactly subtle, but it sure is delicious.”

Winemaker Notes:

“Medium-dark to dark ruby. Like our 2019 Saitone, on the darker side for a Zin in this vintage. A heavenly nose of cherry, raspberry, and blood orange (zinberry!) overwhelms the senses. Aromatically, stunning. The wine enters medium-full to full bodied with abundant red fruit flavors that nearly conceal the typical fine-grained youthful tannins of this site. Compared to the 2018, a richer, more fruit-forward Zinfandel but still with exceptional balance. Ive been making Rossi Ranch Zinfandel since 1993. I cannot recall one that has impressed me more. Enjoy from release through 2030.”
