“Two parcels of gnarled century old vines. Small bits of Carignan and Cinsault interplanted with the Zinfandel. The dry farmed and head pruned vines produce a rich and expressive wine.
Bold aromatics weave a careful balance between dark fruits and spice. Black cherry, huckleberry, and subtle pink peppercorn notes elevate the powerful aromas. The soft mid-palate unfolds with accents of cassis, blackberry, and mocha. The textured finish exhibits supple tannins, ample acidity, and elements of ripe plum, eucalyptus, and toffee.”
