WINEMAKER’S NOTES:

Overture 2022 captivates you from the start. Its aromatic profile weaves a complex tapestry of bright cherry, fresh forest berries, and cut rose stems interwoven with delicate scents of violets, toasted almond, and anise. Blackberry, blueberry, and wild cherry take the lead on the palate with a lively acidity that adds a vibrant edge. The finish is long and rounded, with a touch of mocha and black tea that showcase the wines depth. This expression of selected parcels from the estate vineyards will age gracefully for years to come.

TASTING NOTES:

Gorgeous Cabernet aromas, clear and crystalline, some herbal notes with a cool blueberry and chalky element. Rose scents, dark cherries and cinnamon bark. Full and expressive, warming tones but great acidity that gives such lift. Lovely purity and drive, this has a great sense of confidence – nothing overdone, really pristine and finessed. If anything its not super heavy, but its the better for it. You get the Napa richness in the fruit concentration but its so well defined and still with a graceful power. Yum. 0.5% Petit Verdot completes the blend.
