“Lime leaf, waxy citrus, white peach notes and a hint of honey open this Clare Valley Riesling. The combo of dryness, cheek-sucking, orange peel acidity and chalky texture makes for a somewhat austere wine solo, but pair with a creamy goat’s cheese or seafood risotto and watch it shine.”

Wine Advocate, 92+ Points

“The 2023 The Lodge Hill Riesling is lean and taut, and it totally spirals through the finish with an unbroken flow of chalky phenolics, talc acidity and juicy citrus Fruit. This lovely Riesling will live an age.“

Decanter, 90 Points

“Hints of petrol reveal green apple, lime, and flinty smokiness. Zingy acidity serves as the backbone, with crunchy green fruits and nectarine. Clean, bone-dry, and mineral on the finisheverything you’d expect from an easy-drinking Clare Valley Riesling. Crafted by the family-owned Jim Barry winery, established in 1959.”

About the Region:

“Lime juice, spice, citrus blossom, white peach, and nectarine skin on the nose. The palate is dominated by brown lime, dried lime leaves and Bickfords lime juice. Commanding attention on entry, the fruit is well weighted and framed with a driving acid. A lot of wine!”
