Deeply colored with soaring perfume and aromatics, this is both dense and fresh, showcasing the racy blue and red fruits that occur when RRV Zin melds with vibrant and crunchy Carignan fruit. Though not without structure, this wine, like many of those grown on clay soils, has a certain level of pliancy and up-front richness that will allow for pleasurable nearer-term drinking (with a decant) for those looking for amplified fruit.

The 2024 Papera Ranch Heritage Wine is textbook Russian River. Rich, heady and exuberant, the 2024 offers up copious red-toned fruit intermingled with scents of orange peel, cinnamon, dried flowers, coffee and cedar. Soft contours add to an impression of total finesse. Zinfandel and Carignan drive a field blend composed of 13 varieties.
