Named in honor of the ten founding workers who kept BenRiach alive during its long silent years, this 10 Year Old expression embodies the distillery’s commitment to craft, character, and multi-cask maturation. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks, and ex-sherry hogsheads, The Original Ten achieves a complexity and depth that far exceeds its age.

The nose is fresh, vibrant, and immediately appealing ripe green apple, vanilla cream, and a gentle floral sweetness are lifted by warm hints of cinnamon and toasted coconut from the virgin oak. On the palate, it’s lively and well-rounded: orchard fruit, toffee, soft honey, and a gentle spice build in layers, with the virgin oak adding a pleasing nuttiness and structure that gives the whisky a satisfying backbone.
