Description
The Rodez family has been cultivating grapes in Ambonnay for 3 centuries. Eric Rodez, representing the eighth generation, has been managing the estate since 1982. Before that, Eric Rodez expanded his knowledge in other wine regions and other Champagne houses, such as Krug.
Six hectares of Grand Cru vineyards in the “Cte des Grands Noirs” in Ambonnay. The 36 plots are planted 55% with Pinot Noir and 45% with Chardonnay, mostly old plantings in the middle of slopes with an ideal south-southeast exposure.
Herbicides and other chemical fertilizers have long been prohibited at Eric Rodez.
