Having visited the bustling city and region twice, I find comfort in drinking Bordeaux. One of the best tastings I have had the pleasure in hosting at G+C was a Palmer Vertical from 1966-1986 – it was legendary. As a second wine, I feel Alter Ego is always outstanding, and a very good reflection of the Grand Vin. The blend in 2017 consists of 53% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauv and 6% Petit Verdot – It’s already showing very well, with soft ripe tannins and plush blackcurrant notes, cherries and classic notes of pencil shavings. This is excellent value and you simply can’t go wrong with it.
