Chteau de Lacquy is a 400 hectares estate with vineyard on 20 hectares situated in the best part of Armagnac area in Gascony (South West of France). The estate and the mansion have belonged to the same family since 1711. 18th centurys papers show that the estate was already producing Armagnac with its own still. Chteau de Lacquy is the heart of this ‘gold triangle’ known as Grand Bas-Armagnac. The estate comprises vast wooded area and lakes at the edge of Europe’s largest forest. Ancient oaks, beeches, chestnut trees, wild cherry trees, provide shelter for equally abundant and varied wildlife. The 20ha of vines are planted in the very heart of this area.
