Chteau Clos La Madeleine is a jewel-like Grand Cru Class estate in Saint-milion, perched on the limestone slopes of La Magdeleine. With just 2.3 hectares of vineyards, the estate is planted mainly with Merlot (around 76%) complemented by Cabernet Franc (24%), producing wines of elegance, structure, and terroir-driven character.

Committed to sustainability, the estate practices responsible viticulture and holds the highest HVE Level 3 certification. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by double sorting and gentle vinification to preserve purity and balance. Since its acquisition by the Jean-Pierre Moueix group in 2017, Clos La Madeleine has refined its style further, offering wines of remarkable finesse and depth.

Decanted for an hour. Similar to the ’07, with the exception of more concentration. Suave with blackberry, brick, smoke, lilies and baked carrot. Long, with obviously silky tannins. Her development is significant, however, two more years will offer some aid. Long and structured. Fine acidity; in the pocket. Drink 2016 – 2031.
