The Curly Flat 2022 Estate Pinot Noir is composed of eleven different sections that highlight the unique characteristics of each aspect, clone, and soil type. The vineyard details were carefully managed to showcase the distinctive qualities of each parcel. Indigenous yeasts were used in all ferments, while each lot received varying degrees of whole bunch, post ferment skin contact, and oak handling tailored to their individual flavours. This results in a complex Pinot Noir with alluring aromas of spices and red fruit, complemented by richer dark fruit flavours and savoury nuances. The integration of vineyard-based tannins and subtle oak notes adds a long and mineral-driven finish. After 16 months of ageing, our Estate blend includes 6% whole bunch and 17% new oak, and was bottled without filtration.
