Domaine A Pinot Noir is a substantial style with fine tannin structure and great longevity. The small 2ha plot of low yielding Pinot Noir vines is situated on the highest part of the vineyard slope at Domaine A. Low yields of 4.5 tonnes per ha and small, concentrated berries mean it takes two vines to make a single bottle of Domaine A Pinot Noir. Made with minimal intervention, matured in seasoned French oak for 18 months, bottled un-fined and unfiltered.

A powerfully rich and ripe Domaine A that succeeds in the difficult art of pushing pinot noir to a depth of colour, fruit density, spirit and structure well beyond its usual realm. It erupts with potpourri, fruit mince spice, lavender and eucalyptus, rising dramatically from a core of satsuma plum and prune. Firm, fine, dry tannins mirror a ripe vintage in this dry site.
