At Domaine Chandon we capture these pristine varietal characters and ensure our wines express regional integrity, great style and elegant sophistication. Stylistically, Chardonnay fashion in the Yarra Valley has swung from ripe, oaky and rich to too lean and tightly wound. In recent years we have found a good balance between fruit expression and complexity derived from winemaking. Importantly, we are using less oak than ever before. The Domaine Chandon Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2015 is pale straw with green edges. Charming and generous stone fruit aromas mix with oatmeal and cinnamon characters. Harmonious with fresh lime, ripe melon and nectarine flavours balanced by zesty acidity and great length of flavour. Some flint and biscuit characters balance the finish.
