A tribute to one of bourbon’s founding fathers. Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was instrumental in shaping the American whiskey industry and the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, which he championed, remains one of the most stringent quality standards in spirits production. This expression, part of Buffalo Trace’s celebrated Antique Collection, honors that legacy with a bourbon that meets every requirement of the original law: distilled in a single season, by a single distiller, aged at least four years, and bottled at exactly 100 proof.
The pour is a deep, burnished copper. The nose is rich and complex dark fruit, clove, and toasted oak layered over a foundation of vanilla and sweet corn. On the palate, it delivers bold flavors of caramel, dried cherry, leather, and baking spice, with a long, structured finish that speaks to its heritage and craft.
