A blended Japanese whisky made with malts and grains from distilleries on Japan’s Honshu island. For those not keeping track, that’s the main island of Japan, housing the lion’s share of Japanese whisky distilleries. The label features some sort of giant snake/dragon with many people hands confronting a rightfully-confused chap with a sweet mask.
Mizunara () is Japanese oak and it’s used to age Japanese whiskey such as Suntory’s Yamazaki Single Malt. The elegant sandalwood comes through beautifully with briocheand toffee aromas, itgoes perfectly with its nice and smooth body. This is the first time a Scotch whiskey has aged in Japanese wood! It’s truly an East meets West in a bottlethat guaranteed a great adventure.
