Our Lands Edge Pinot Noir is sourced from two Estate owned Vineyards: our Far Coast Vineyard and our Estate owned Seascape Vineyard. These vineyards are located high on the Sonoma Coast Ridges that run along the “land’s edge” and the Pacific Ocean. The name Lands Edge is derived from the fact that the Vineyards are located high on the Sonoma Coastal Ridges that run along the Sonoma Coasts lands edge and the Pacific Ocean. Some call this part of the Sonoma Coast AVA the True Sonoma Coast. We also make single vineyard designated wines from each of the Far Coast and Seascape Vineyards. The Far Coast Vineyard is the predominant component of Lands Edge typically making up 90% or more of the blend. We find that the Far Coast part of the blend brings Mocha notes to the nose, and a deep black cherry profile while the Seascape Vineyard part of the blend adds savory notes along with hints of salinity to the Lands Edge Vineyards cuvee.
