David Hirsch was inspired to create theBohan-DillonPinot Noir as an homage to the greatvillagewines of France: a wine full of place and personality, made with the same attention and integrity as the top wines, yet at an incredible price.

About 50% of the grapes in theBohan-DillonPinot Noircame from our 30-year-old vines; the balance from our 20-year-old vines. These areserious Pinot Noir vineyards, farmed biodynamically with great care on the True Sonoma Coast.

We make theBohan-Dillonthe same way we make our top wines; the only difference is a shorter time in barrel. It’s in the blending that theBohan-Dillonis differentiated from our other wines. For theBohan, we select our most charming, silky barrels, with an emphasis on gentle tannins and exuberantfruit.

TheBohan-Dillonis a wine for everyday drinking, yet also has the potential to age. It can be drunk young, guzzled at a picnic, and it pairs perfectly with pizza. Or you can bury your nose in the glass and nerd out over aromas of crushed fresh strawberries, hints of licorice and notes of bergamot.

There need not be a contradiction between drinkability and integrity. In theBohan-Dillonyou will find an irresistibly delicious wineof great quality, traditional varietal character, and sense of place.
