This is a purely yeast driven beer with no latekettle or dry hopping. The simple malt bill hascreated a hazy, burnished gold beer that isredolent of lazy, late-summer afternoons. Thearoma displays classic Brett funk with a zestyacidity balanced by sweet summer fruits thinkpeaches, apricots and mango with a hint offorest fruits that border on confectionary intheir intensity. The palate is unmistakeably Brettwith touches of rustic funk underneath a bracinglactic acidity. The sweet fruits are in play too,the whole being reminiscent of childhood sourcandies, lemon sherbet and green gooseberries.The finish is lip-smackingly dry. Sour Brett Ale isperfect on its own but also pairs very well withstrong cheeses and antipasto.
