Louis Jadot is one of most important wine producers and negociants in Burgundy. It was found in Beaune in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, start with the purchase of the Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules in 1826.
The label of Maison Louis Jadots wines are characterised by the instantly recognisable image of Bacchuss head. An image that has become, in many ways, the signature of the house and a symbol of its identity.
The firm was acquired in 1985 by the owners of US wine importer Kobrand, which still owns the company and imports Jadot’s wines into the US.
Today, high reputation was built, with a portfolio that covers everything from inexpensive BourgogneandBeaujolaiswines to several grand cru wines, from the Cte de Beaune toChablis.
The vineyards of Chablis stretch along a river aptly named the Serein, meaning serene in French. Vines have taken root here since Roman times, nurtured by Jurassic limestone formed around 150 million years ago, particularly the Kimmeridgian limestone dating from 157.3 to 152.1 million years ago. In January 1938, Chablis was officially granted AOC status, affirming the exceptional quality of this dry white wine.

Mineral and precise with aromas of Meyer lemons, flint, apple blossoms and nectarines. The midweight palate has a tightly wound mouthfeel and bright acidity, offering lovely length and tension with a slightly saline finish. Good energy.
