A great example of the unique style of the maison. This Sancerre is a perfectly balanced wine: elegant, perfumed, with great depth and flavour definition. A dry, mineral palate is the perfect frame for delicate aromas of white fruit, orchard flowers and a subtle smokiness.

The grapes are sourced from the different soils of the maison. The resulting wine is a blend of grapes gronw 50% on limestone, 30% on clay-limestone and 20% on flint. The vineyards are located in the villages of Bu, Verdigny, SaintSatur and Sainte Gemme.

Pascal Jolivet was founded in 1987 and is one of the most dynamic domaines in Frances Loire Valley. Based in Sancerre, the domaine now owns 70 hectares of vineyards spread across the appellations of Sancerre and Pouilly Fum. The domaine supplements the estate holdings with additional fruit sourced from long-term contract growers some of the prime sites of the region including Les Caillottes, Le Chne Marchand and Le Clos du Roy. Pascal shares his philosophy with winemaker, Valentina Buoso: to work in harmony with nature to produce wines with purity of fruit, a linear character and minerality, allowing a natural expression of the vineyard to give the wines a sense of place.
