White Wine | 14.3% ABV | 750 mL | Carneros, Napa Valley, California, USA | 100% Chardonnay | Estate-Sourced
Post & Beam Carneros Chardonnay is produced from estate fruit grown in the cool Carneros region of Napa Valley. The areas foggy mornings, steady afternoon breezes, and volcanic-clay soils allow Chardonnay to ripen slowly while retaining natural acidity. Grapes are fermented in a combination of French oak and stainless steel to balance freshness with subtle richness. The wine is then aged in French oak, adding soft texture, gentle brioche tones and structural depth while preserving the purity of orchard and citrus fruit inherent to the vineyard.
Nose: Lemon curd, honeysuckle, citrus blossom, golden apple, and light toasted oak.
Palate: Melon, pear, passion fruit and crme frache wrapped in bright acidity and a clean mineral edge.
Finish: Long and fresh with citrus peel, subtle vanilla, and lingering orchard fruit.
Carneros-sourced Chardonnay from a region known for cool-climate precision and vibrant acidity
Balanced 14.3% ABV offering ripeness, weight and freshness
Produced by Post & Beam, part of the Far Niente family, emphasizing small-lot elegance
Combination of oak and stainless fermentation preserves both texture and purity
Critically praised for its fruit clarity, balance, and refined structure
Serve at 5054F in a white wine or tulip-shaped glass to allow its aromatics to open gracefully. A brief 1015 minute decant integrates the oak and fruit layers. Ideal pairings include roasted chicken with herbs, seared scallops, grilled white fish with lemon butter, creamy mushroom pasta, or soft-ripened cheeses. This Chardonnay offers immediate pleasure but can develop added richness over the next 35 years.
