A bold and dramatic expression from Guatemala’s legendary Ron Zacapa distillery, Edicin Negra is inspired by the volcanic fire and natural intensity of the Guatemalan highlands. This exceptional rum pushes the boundaries of traditional aging by finishing in heavily charred American oak barrels, creating a dark, smoky spirit that stands apart in the world of premium rum.

Crafted from a solera blend of rums aged between 6 and 24 years at 7,500 feet above sea level, Edicin Negra undergoes an additional maturation in double-charred American oak casks. This unique finishing process imparts deep layers of smoke, char, and caramelized sweetness that complement the rum’s natural richness and complexity.

The result is a rum of remarkable depth and characterwaves of dark chocolate, espresso, charred oak, and dried fruit mingle with the signature honeyed sweetness and vanilla notes that define the Zacapa style. The smoky intensity adds a new dimension to classic rum cocktails while remaining smooth and sophisticated enough to sip neat or on the rocks.
