The Sanford Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is always a blend from both of our estate vineyards: the historic Sanford & Benedict Vineyard (44%) and La Rinconada (56%). These singular vineyards are in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. A wide range of Pinot Noir selections are planted on these sites, and this wine is a blend of 8 of these from several different soil types.

Crafted by Sanford Winery, a pioneer in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation, this Pinot Noir is a true reflection of the winery’s dedication to sustainable farming practices and minimal intervention winemaking. The grapes were carefully handpicked and sorted before undergoing fermentation with native yeasts. The wine was then aged in French oak barrels for 10 months, adding a subtle layer of toasty vanilla and spice notes that complement the fruit-driven flavors.
