1* La Part du Boucher

La Part du Boucher comprises small amounts of wine left at the end of bottling, carefully blended, then stashed away for a while in barrel. Its rather a magnificent blend we couldn’t tell you exactly what, but a little Pomerol, Pauillac perhaps and Saint Emilion rubbing shoulders with other stars from the southwest. What we can tell you is that it’s a big, warming red. Decant and serve in large-bowled glasses.

1* HJ Fabre Gran Reservado Malbec 2021

This dense, velvety red is made from the hand-picked fruit of 80-year-old vines in Mendoza, a region with the terroir to produce not just good but truly great Malbec (Decanter). Matured for a year in fine French oak, its a complex, elegant style, that will age. For now, decant early and serve with a fine cut of beef.
