Taylors are one of Australia’s great wine families. Their philosophy is “we rest on the principle that the finest wines are those made with the greatest dedication and care. Above all our imperative is to ‘respect the fruit'” – an so it is evident with their Estate Shiraz. This has been Australia’s go-to shiraz for so long and with good reason. Demand has meant that the fruit is now sourced from both Clare Valley and Limestone Coast but the quality has remained. A thoroughly delicious young Shiraz delivering so much for this price. It’s generous but more in the medium bodied zone with plenty of juicy red berry fruits, plum and spice, along with subtle chocolate and savoury characters from the oak maturation. Pretty hard to beat when you’re looking for an everyday wine.
