Parliament of Rooks, Pinnacle of Sherry

The GlenDronach Parliament takes its name from the colony of rooks that has nested in the trees surrounding the distillery for generations a parliament of birds that has watched over 21 years of patient maturation in the finest Pedro Ximnez and Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. GlenDronach is one of Scotland’s great sherry cask specialists, and the 21 Year Old Parliament is the fullest expression of that devotion: a whisky of extraordinary richness, depth, and complexity that can only come from two decades in exceptional sherry wood. This is Highland single malt at its most opulent.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Deeply rich and complex dark chocolate, dried fig, and a generous Pedro Ximnez sweetness with warm cinnamon, toasted oak, and a hint of leather
• Palate: Full-bodied and luxurious raisins, candied orange peel, dark chocolate, and a warming spice that builds beautifully over a foundation of deep, honeyed sherry richness
• Finish: Exceptionally long and warming with lingering dark fruit, chocolate, and a smooth, dignified sherry oak warmth that fades slowly
