Hi Folks, The gorgeous French wine region of Languedoc-Roussillon is possibly France’s most underrated wine region home to some of South France’s most historic appellation’s including including Minervois, Picpoul de Pinet, St Chinian and Corbires. The 2019 Via Nostrum Corbires Rouge takes its name and inspiration all the way back to the Roman Empire recalling the Via Domitia, the ancient Roman road which intersected what ultimately would become famous wine appellations in the Languedoc, including Corbires. This blend of Syrah and grenache is highlighted by succulent blackcurrant and blackberry aromas effortlessly give way to spice and toasty oak. A subtle herbal note and the velvety tannins add a touch of elegance to the finish. And it’s good to know that we’re not the only ones that have been impressed, as this has quickly gained quite a following from some of our favourite scribes.
