“The NV Brut Nature Blanc dArgils is a pure Chardonnay. Lemon and nettle seep into melted butter and a mere insinuation of blossom honey. The palate is bone dry and textured with dried corn husk and wheat chaff, salty, expansive, yet contoured by lemony brightness. This is a distinct, honey-edged Chardonnay with a salted caramel highlight. Its delicious, engaging and most appetizing. The finish is sustained with lots of umami echoes.”

“Proving superior Blanc de Blancs is quite possible in the Aubes Pinot Noir paradise, this opens with lemon cream and persistent white chocolate and nougat through the palate. Details of white flowers, peach and almond. Very gourmand and complex, and quite a counterpoint to the more austere Chardonnay Champagnes from further north. 100% Chardonnay. Single parcel.”
