Commercial Description:

Anas, the first Armenian ice wine, is considered to be the jewel of the crown jewel of the noble sweet wines produced by Gevorkian Winery. This wine is named after the ancient Armenian goddess of love and fertility, since only genuine passion and life-giving mastery of the Armenian winemakers and grape growers can turn glaciated grapes into an exquisite wine gleaming noble gold. Anas Ice Wine is produced from the indigenous Voskehat variety harvested at -11C in the high mountainous terroirs of Vayots Dzor. The precious wine must is squeezed out of frozen grape marbles and after a laborious process it is aged for 12 months in barrels made of one-century-old Armenian oak-trees. This ice wine is distinguishable with its exotic fruit tones, a remarkable bouquet and a long-lasting aftertaste typical of Armenian apricot. The wine is a perfect match for gentle desserts. Anas should be served chilled at 6-8C, in diamond-shaped glasses specifically made for wine lovers.
