Born from a small crop of concentrated berries in Yountville, the 2015 vintage displays an opaque black-purple hue and a complex aromatic profile that bursts with notes of charred meat, plum reduction, baking spices, lavender, and hints of tack room leather. On the palate, it unfolds with layers of blackberry, dark chocolate, oolong tea, graphite, flint, and violet, carried by sleek viscosity and fine-grained tannins that provide both density and finesse. The wines structure and depth make it a versatile partner at the table, pairing beautifully with rich dishes such as grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, or lamb shank, while its dark fruit and spice notes also complement earthy mushroom risotto and aged cheeses like Comt or Parmigiano-Reggiano.
