Domaines Ott was founded in 1912 by Alsatian engineer Marcel Ott. Today, the wineries are owned and managed by Champagne Louis Roederer, producing some of the worlds most prestigious wines. These wines are made at three distinctively different estates: Chteau Romassan (Bandol), Clos Mireille and Chteau de Selle (both Ctes de Provence).
Clos Mireille is an ancient terrain distinguished for its combination of schists and clays, and by an absence of limestone. The vineyards proximity to the sea explains the inimitable character of the wines produced at Clos Mireille. The microclimate and sea spray create the ideal conditions for the production of extremely rare wines. Clos Mireille has 124 acres of planted vineyards.
Tasting Notes :
The wine reveals a pink pastel hue with pearly highlights and an expressive, crisp, fruity nose redolent of citrus, boxwood, white fruit and tangy mango. After a lively attack, the palate appears taut, unctuous and elegant with a typical fresh summer fruit vibrancy. At the Clos Mireille estate, the 2021 vintage has given us a ros that is bursting with freshness and delicious flavor.
